Work Wednesday

I was surprised, but after a few days of goofing off, writing bloomed for the remainder of last week/weekend. I’m more than halfway through TJ Wilde Full Sail and zipping along. At this pace, it may be with the editor when I fly out to Boston in late October for a bit of research on the next Duxbridge mystery.

I also have a little Halloween specialty book in the process for Duxbrige, because a small New England town just lends itself to a magical, spooky story.

Work Wednesday

I confess I did not get as much writing done as I would have liked these past few days.

But it was my birthday and there was considerable goofing off, as there should be.

I did get a cool Book Dragon as a gift and I’m over the moon about that. I have a few more days in the week to hit that pedal and get another chapter filed away.

How is your week progressing?

Work Wednesday: Summer Harvest

I was complaining this morning, to myself, that the garden seemed slow this year. I’d harvested a few jalapenos, but everything else was taking its sweet time. This morning, when I walked through the garden, I was surprised by a few tomatoes – dark cherries a friend gave me and some Early Girls.

They need to sit on the counter for a few days to fully ripen. I follow a tomato guru and in his videos, he says the flavor will be the same if they finish ripening on the counter or on the vine, but you’ll have fewer problems – bugs, weather – if you bring them in as soon as they are ripening.
