There must be distractions to help the creative mind do its thing.
I’m refinishing my kitchen table. It’s a hundred+ years old and I picked it up for free from the original family. Solid walnut and deserving of some attention, I decided to strip it and restore it to its original colors. There is something very freeing about sanding and letting my mind wander.
This is one of the three leaves, they are almost finished and then I’ll begin the table.
And since summer refuses to leave, I decided to get another project started. I am removing pavers in my garden and trading them out for flagstone, which is what I wanted originally but they were out of my budget. Doing just a few at a time, there are twenty-four in total to change out, plus I added another seven on the side of the garden.
