Furry Friday: Lost & Found

Black and white Shihtzu on pavement

I came home the other day to find this little guy and his friend playing in my yard. No collars, no idea where they came from.

Because of course I did. For those keeping track, five dogs, one pig, two chickens and a Chameleon have all wandered into my yard and been rescued since I moved in.

It did disrupt my afternoon, but the little black and white guy was safely tucked away in one of my crates, while his buddy, a Chihuahua, stayed nearby, but out of reach. With some detective work and the help of neighbors, they were both reunited with the people who were pet sitting them, and the hole under their fence was repaired.

Nora broke a blood vessel in her wing, so I was worried. She seemed fine, but she got some “hanging out in the house” time to ease my mind. She loves to nest in the dog toys.

Throwback to my last visit to the zoo. This giraffe did not kiss me like the last one did. I’m working on a big trip to see more of these…stay tuned.
