My brother, SIL and I were talking last night, and he was listing off all the things he needed to winterize. I chimed in that I was ready, I had winterized the duck.
I’ve started filling Nora’s “spa” (large cat box) with water each morning, because it’s difficult to fill the big pool when the hose is frozen. Usually have to wait until later in the day for that.
She doesn’t care, as long as she can get wet.
I’m still worried about her being alone, especially as colder weather sets in. Her coop is nice and snug and winterized. I even moved one of the cat beds into the nesting box, since she seems to love the dog bed so much.

She may or may not enjoy “family time” for half an hour each night, but she sure does love making a nest out of the dog toys. She especially loves Trixie’s favorite stuffed animal, no matter how I try to redirect her to other stuffies.
Poor Trixie…
Resting up for the big night
The dogs will love tonight, but I don’t do costumes for them. It’s enough trying to get them to NOT join the kids on their Halloween walks. Last year one of the teens showed up in a werewolf head and I thought Scout would lose her mind. She thought it was real.
Can’t wait to see what tonight brings…
Happy haunting, everyone!
