Furry Friday: Duck or Puppy?

Does your duck sleep with stuffed animals? Mine does since she stole these from the dogs. Nora has become a pet duck, despite my best efforts.

My ducks are “backyard ducks,” meaning they have a job, I feed and water them, but they are fairly autonomous. I handle them enough to keep them healthy and they know their names and daily routines.

But since Nora is now alone, I’ve succumbed to making her a pet who likes to spend limited time inside, get morning and evening scritches. She’s also very vocal about her needs, so it works for all of us. She may even think she’s part Great Dane.

She’s five now, so we our time is limited and I will enjoy what we have.

The weather has been warm enough that I’ve been working on the patio. The dogs are enjoying spending time outside with me.

Finally, Reggie got his favorite delivery this week.

He’s not opposed to delivery boxes, but those big delivery envelopes make the best sound when attacked. So he prefers them.
