It’s that time of year, when hope springs eternal. The hope that by fall I will be over run with tomatoes, various peppers, cucumbers, corn, squash, and pumpkins. Thinking of all great meals to come.
Until then, we wait, fingers-crossed, and hope that all the seedlings and seeds are successful. Stay tuned!
A while ago, I found a bread machine at the thrift store for $7. It was great, I used it enough to justify that $7. Then in March, I snagged a brand new, labels still on it, horizontal loaf bread machine for $10. Same thrift store.
I gave my $7 one to my neighbor, she was excited and I went to town with the new one. It makes great loaves, the dark crust mode gives me the perfect crust and I am so happy I lucked out and found it. So now I make a loaf a week, white/whole wheat mix and dream of those fall tomato sandwiches.
What are you growing this year, if you’re lucky enough to have a garden space?
