The rewrites for Full Sail – the third book in the TJ Wilde Trilogy – are completed and this draft feels solid enough to send off to the editor. It will be sad to say goodbye to TJ, but there are so many other stories waiting to be told.
Nora is all of us this Monday. She is snuggled down in the coop and could not be enticed to come out this morning. And yes, those are stuffed animals (from her dog buddies) that she’s curled up with. She is getting up there in age, so if she wants to sleep in, she can sleep in.
Revisiting Potato Bread from 2020:
Someone suggested to me to use potato bread dough next time I made cinnamon rolls. It sounded like an idea, but it also made me really, really want potato bread. I don’t believe I’ve ever made it before. And since I had no plans to make cinnamon rolls anytime soon, potato bread it had to be.
I have to tell you, it was fairly simple, and made the most amazing bread. Silky, moist, flavorful, and firm enough to cut into very thin slices.
The only drawback of the recipe is you’ll need either a stand mixer or a bread machine. The dough must be kneaded for about 7 minutes on a high speed. It’s a very sticky dough, difficult to knead by hand and it’s really not possible to get the texture without a machine knead.
Otherwise, it’s straightforward.
Yesterday had no time for Furry Friday, so making up for it with the entire cat household for Caturday.
Walked into the kitchen to see this. So of course I had to ask.
I know many of us are struggling right now. Please take care of yourselves, look out for your neighbors and remember, we will prevail.
As January comes to a close I am closing in on the final rewrites. Then it’s time for the editor. I can see the end of the road.
