Work Wednesday: Slowly and Surely

It’s been a week of slowly healing and getting back in the swing of things. Work to catch up on, a lot of sleeping (amazing how tired you can get after a relatively short/simple surgery) and of course, editing.

Monday Menu: Kebabs for Summer Grilling

Marinated Beef Kebabs:

1 lb sirloin, cut into at least 12 chunks
2 tbsp soy
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp ground cumin
1 red onion, cut into 8 pieces
3 small zucchini, each cut into 4 pieces
Additionally, add cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, or green peppers
1 tbsp oil

4 metal skewers

Surprise Sunday Poppy

A gift from a friend – just a tiny little sprout in a paper cup. I transplanted, unsure if it would survive or how beautiful it was going to be. This morning, it appeared, delicate and colorful. A nice Sunday surprise.

Furry Friday: Happy Birthday Sully!

Patrick Sullivan Panther is eight years old this week and has been here for four years. He is just everything a house panther should be. Especially a big cuddle-bun.

Work Wednesday: Getting Ready

I did a bit of editing this week, but most of the past few days were spent getting ready for today.

Today is minor surgery. Routine. Quick. And yet, because of some past medical experiences, I did have to keep the panic attacks at bay. And then there are the week to ten days of restrictions.
