While I was away, we went on a location hunt in the real town that is the inspiration for Duxbridge. Found a nice, spooky basement which was conveniently located in the house I’m also using as a location.

Chocolate chip cookies were the first thing I ever baked, when I was about nine. So, I feel like over the years, I’ve perfected them – tweaking sugar ratios, adding dark chocolate chips, playing with different sizes. This week, prompted by an email from King Arthur Baking, I took my cookie game up to 11.
Have A Spooky Halloween
I had the spookiest drive into Boulder this morning. A thick layer of fog sat over the city, yet the Flatirons and above were clear. And the fog could be seen most of my very sunny drive. It was like a Stephen King novel came to life on Halloween.
Even spookier? When I crossed the overpass into Boulder, is was as sunny there as my drive had been. Where’d the fog go?
Work Wednesday: No Work, Only Fun
