Saturday Morning Harvest

tomatoes and jalapenos in a bowl

Been such an up and down veggie garden season so far. Today’s assessment – my San Marzano tomatoes are just beginning to produce fruit, so they probably will not survive the first frost.

My jalapenos went from no peppers to a plant full – nice surprise.

My gifted-to-me Candy Cane pepper plant is full of peppers, not sure how that little stunted plant is even holding that many. Hopefully they will turn their beautiful red and black stripes before frost.

Plenty of cucumber flowers, not sure if those will make it before first frost.

The other tomatoes are looking good so far, though small (heat really affects them).

Once again, though, my zucchini has not one female flower on it. And I am left to wonder why I may be the only gardener who cannot grow a vegetable that overruns most folks gardens. 🤷‍♀️

‘Tis a puzzle.
