Costco rotisserie chicken has ruined Reggie (well, all the cats, really, they love it). I seldom grab one, but the last one I had, Reggie turned himself inside-out every time I opened the refrigerator door. That has continued, even though there is rarely anything for him. It’s gotten to the point that, in order to get him out from under my feet, I have to pick him up and show him there is nothing on the counter for him. He then hops off in a huff.

I was working out before bed the other night and my mind, as has been its way lately, wandered off. When it returned, I had the opening scene to the next Duxbridge novel..
Exhausted, I thought, I’ll write it all down tomorrow. If you know anything about inspiration, that is almost always a mistake. But somewhere between morning chores and the first cup of coffee I remembered that I had an idea.

I’m having a low-key Thanksgiving this year. No traveling, no big event here. I’m heading over to friends. I’ll be taking Cranberry Sauce and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

The local grocer had turkeys on clearance. They are all marked at $8 and I sorted through them until I found a smallish one at 13 lbs. So why not a turkey dinner in May?
Furry Friday: Not For Sale
Don’t miss the sign in the upper right-hand corner. The pups were very good while we traveled and held an estate sale to empty my father’s house.
I try very hard to resist getting them any more stuffies, but I saw the two goats at the thrift store, for the outrageous price of $2 each. I had hoped for three, because you cannot bring only two stuffies into the house when there are three dogs. Then I spotted the horse (for the same ridiculous price) and knew it would be Trixie’s newest snuggle stuffie. She likes the big ones for that full-body snuggle.
