Work Wednesday

I think it is time to unveil the first chapter of the third book in the TJ Wilde trilogy, Full Sail. I will run it by the editor for a quick check, but it will still be the rough cut.

I was surprised, but after a few days of goofing off, writing bloomed for the remainder of last week/weekend. I’m more than halfway through TJ Wilde Full Sail and zipping along. At this pace, it may be with the editor when I fly out to Boston in late October for a bit of research on the next Duxbridge mystery.

I also have a little Halloween specialty book in the process for Duxbrige, because a small New England town just lends itself to a magical, spooky story.

I confess I did not get as much writing done as I would have liked these past few days.

But it was my birthday and there was considerable goofing off, as there should be.

I did get a cool Book Dragon as a gift and I’m over the moon about that. I have a few more days in the week to hit that pedal and get another chapter filed away.

I often wonder if I could write full-time, what that would mean for the books.

Some days in the summer, sitting at the desk and writing is difficult. There are dogs to walk and gardens to tend. But, when the ideas are flowing and the words come easily, I actually look forward to that quiet time with my characters and their adventures.
