My brother, SIL and I were talking last night, and he was listing off all the things he needed to winterize. I chimed in that I was ready, I had winterized the duck.
I’ve started filling Nora’s “spa” (large cat box) with water each morning, because it’s difficult to fill the big pool when the hose is frozen. Usually have to wait until later in the day for that.
It’s been a long time since I have carved a pumpkin, but I really wanted roasted pumpkin seeds. And since I have an air fryer, pumpkin seeds I would have.
Because of course, we needed a little horror this week:
Expecting our first hard freeze this week. It’s been cold enough that the tomatoes have stopped ripening, so it was time to bring them in. I picked about six pounds, and I expect more than half to ripen, more if I’m lucky.
With cold weather and tomatoes on the mind, it seemed the perfect time for soup!
I came home the other day to find this little guy and his friend playing in my yard. No collars, no idea where they came from.
Because of course I did. For those keeping track, five dogs, one pig, two chickens and a Chameleon have all wandered into my yard and been rescued since I moved in.
