Monday Menu: Experimenting With Ingredients

This weekend I decided to try it on grilled chicken breasts and with some experimentation, decided it paired well with citrus and chipotles in adobo sauce. First up, this guy gave me a scare. Then by the time we got to the vet, he was fine. Just fine. Bouncy. Perky, even. We are keeping an eye on him. But dude, I lost an entire night’s sleep and you’re “fine.”

Before you jump in and change your entire landscape, it might be easier to start small. Pick an area and research what native plants would work well there. Mix native grasses with perennials for an easy care space. I had a strip of land between my driveway and my neighbors’ driveway. It was overplanted with high maintenance, high water plantings, and was bordered on each end by aspen trees.

I have not disappeared, just been weird couple of weeks with travel and life issues. Hopefully jumping back in with Furry Friday will work as an apology.

At nine and a half, Patrick Sullivan Panther, esq (Sully to his friends) had found his sense of adventure. I think Reggie has helped. He’ll now explore the yard, where last summer, he’d roll on the patio and then rush back inside.
